Become a Beta Reader!!
Join the Young Writers Initiative as Beta Reader – Applications open now!
As writers, most of the time we’re readers first. Usually, that’s the initial motivation for us to become a writer. Reading books upon books and giving our unsolicited advice whilst posting reviews on Goodreads – that’s the typical start. But what if you could get access to all various types of books from new authors? To help them, to give them a chance to grow and get their book out there?
We’d like to give you that opportunity.
Become a Beta Reader for The Young Writers Initiative and help fellow young writers grow in their craft.
What does TYWI’s Beta Reader Program look like?
Beta Reading is a part of our Pre-Reading services.
Pre-Reading services are a process where authors can submit their manuscripts for reading in order to receive feedback and evaluate their story, before submitting to editing or begin agenting. Essentially, these services serve as a test screening for novels. It is a great way to test out how your target audience will react to your book when it’s ready to be published, as well as fix any inconsistencies in your book that you may have not noticed. A fresh pair of eyes on your novel can help you notice things that you may have never seen before!
Beta Readers specifically focus on broad story elements like plot, pacing, world building, character development, and overall reader experience
